Pilates Reformer Studio
A Pilates Reformer Session provides all the benefits of traditional mat-based Pilates, but with extra intensity and challenge. By adding the Reformer, you’ll glide, pull and stretch your way to the best body you’ve ever had. Sculpt and tone from top to toe, strengthen your core muscles, and burn calories as you power your way through one of these specialist strength and endurance workouts.
A Reformer is a low bed with a sliding platform, known as a carriage, on which you lie, sit, kneel or stand to perform different exercises. This highly versatile piece of equipment allows for an unlimited range of exercises to be performed, many of which train key muscles you probably never knew existed. You’ll stretch further and strengthen muscles and joints, using pulleys and springs to create resistance and challenge your body in new ways. By creating the perfect balance between strength and flexibility, you’re able to push harder and go further with a much lower risk of injury. Pilates also builds greater resistance to injury by correcting poor posture, often an underlying cause of pain.
Sessions take place in our dedicated studio on a one-to-one basis, or in groups of 2. They are available to purchase on a pay as you go basis or at a discounted rate as a bundle of 10.
Having had a bad back for over ten years I began working with Yusra with the hope of feeling a little relief and a stronger back. Her encyclopedic knowledge of the human body, combined with her innovative teaching means she has smashed all my expectations. Yusra is brilliant! Using the reformer as well as some Pilates floor work, my back is better than it has been in years. I love the reformer……it actually makes exercising fun! I cannot recommend Yusra highly enough.

I have a rare syndrome that causes me to have musculo ~ skeletal and cardiac issues. When I met Ysura I was keen to build my strength so as to manage the pain I experienced.
Having had these problems since a child I was an anxious exerciser but Yusra put me at ease straightaway. We undertook floor work with weights and more recently the reformer. Further to this Yusra’s knowledge of Marfan Syndrome is impressive and her can do approach is empowering altering exercises so I can get the most benefit.
I recently underwent heart surgery and Yusra had the task of ensuring I was match fit for the operation which was a fine balance between pushing me but not putting me at further risk. Since the surgery Yusra has further helped with my rehabilitation and my family commented how well I recovered and attributed it to the Pilates I completed with Yusra.
I can’t thank her enough. X

I love pilates and had struggled to find a good teacher since moving from London, but then I found Yusra!
I was recently diagnosed with EDS (hyper-mobility type) and it has been so good to have a teacher who is so knowledgeable and who tailors my workouts accordingly.
She also makes the hour flyby as she is such good company.
Could not recommend her more.
